Every reference I could find online says that model is 5hp 3ph. I'd say that's about tops for a complete saw in decent condition. Without being able to even bump the motor over though its a gamble. Do you have 3ph or are you planning on a phase converter? Don't forget to figure that into your overall cost, and use it as a bargining point to get the price down. Not sure how the numbering system worked on the old saws.

What is the type number and how do I find it? The type number identifies the multiple versions of a specific model number. As it relates to service parts, a type 1 can be completely different than the type 2 version of a particular model number. The type number can and usually is as important to know as the model number in. Ryan, I recently sold my GI hybrid saw and bought an older Rockwell unisaw. The GI hybrid was a really accurate saw and met the needs but if you can find a older Delta unisaw for less than a hybrid I would definitely go that route. If you can get the model number and serial number of the saw you can find.
