Comment by jaxsonbateman The three blue sockets are a trap! The socket bonus is definitely not significant enough to warrant using anything but red, yellow or orange gems for this. Attack power, hit, crit rating, agility - take your pick. Personally, I'll probably be going with 3 x 4 agi/4 hit gems to provide a good all around bonus to my stats. ^^ Edit: I should say, the blue sockets aren't worthwhile *from a dps point of view*.

If this helm is going to be your upstart PvP helm, or something you use for hunter tanking (such as HKM or bow tanking for Kael; though afaik most hunters use their regular dps helms) then blue/green/purple gems might be suitable. My Lvl 85 Lock had that Dream-Wing Helm drop to him from Ambassador Hellmaw in the Shadow Labyrinth. Once I saw that I fell in love with it and was praying there'd be a Red colored version so it would match my Blood Knight Mail gear look, and I was in like flynn, thanks again to the aforementioned Same Model As uber-helpful Wowhead has for us to utilize!
